Nathan has worked as an engineer for the art community in Denver since 2016. He has degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Designing and fabricating electrical systems for art installations is his specialty. Nathan has worked both as a commercial electrician and as an electrical engineer, giving him a deep familiarity with integrating low-voltage DC systems with building AC electrical supplies. He has extensive lighting design experience and has completed more than two dozen lighting projects, for both inside and outside conditions. He has designed hundreds of custom PCB circuits and microcontrollers to operate lighting and mechanical systems in artistic installations. He is preparing to take the PE Electrical exam in 2026.
In addition, Nathan has over 10 years of practical experience with welding, manual machining, CNC machining, 3D printing, CAD modeling with Solidworks, and a number of other fabrication techniques. He has managed teams of assemblers and fabricators to successfully deliver complex artwork on time and on budget.
Nathan has worked with several art fabrication and managment studios in the Denver area and beyond, including:
• Public Art Services • Yetiweurks
• DIA Public Art Program • Demiurge Design
• Model Metal • Junoworks
He is available for new projects and maintenance on existing artwork.
Nathan teaches the welding classes at the Denver Tool Library, since 2022.
Nathan volunteers as the artist technical advisor and art placement coordinator for Apogaea, the Colorado regional Burning Man festival.
